The underlying reason for this war is nothing other than the fact that Kuwait does not want to lose its oil to Iraq. President Nixon and Bush The US did not allow anyone in the Middle East to become dominant and the Middle East oil to be unfriendly. Indeed, it has been. Iraq was not allowed to dominate Kuwait. As seen very clearly in this case, the foreign powers, especially America, see the Middle East as an oil well which should not be risked in their eyes and should be kept under constant control. The United States once again stressed the importance of oil through its operation against Iraq in the ongoing unstable environment after the September 11 events. While the American authorities did not make it clear, their most important motivation was the oil fields that would be under the post-war control.
