After the Arab Revolts in the Middle East, there was a dramatic transformation. The demonstrations, which started with the demands of freedom, equality and justice, were violated in all other examples except Tunisia. The military coup in Egypt, the deepening of the Syrian crisis, the resumption of conflicts in Libya and Saudi Arabia's military intervention against Yemen deepened the fault lines in the Middle East and made the security crisis in the region multidimensional.
After the Arab Revolts in the Middle East there was a shocking transformation. The demonstrations, which started with the demands of freedom, equality and justice, were violated in all other examples except Tunisia. The military coup in Egypt, the deepening of the Syrian crisis, the resumption of the conflict in Libya and the military intervention of Saudi Arabia towards Yemen deepened the existing fault lines in the Middle East and made the security crisis in the region multidimensional. The region faced a new wave of mistrust. Terrorism has transformed both quantitatively and qualitatively and has become a threat to the entire Middle East geography.
Today, a security climate dominates the Middle East, where the borders are questioned, the state sovereignty faces serious challenges, and radicalization and extremist violence are spreading. The most influential factor in the formation of the security climate is the widespread use of non-state armed actors (DDSA).
